For my most current design project, I created 12 posters for a yearlong Shakespeare festival.

For each poster, I chose a Shakespeare play that would best fit the time of year and then came up with a color scheme that also reflected that month while also reflecting the mood or themes of each play. Numbers became a major design theme for this project, with the numerical number for each month serving as the starting point for each design. You’ll notice that typefaces are similar and that no gradients were used, utilizing a flat design style throughout each poster.

Bringing it to life

The idea was to design a series of posters that could be displayed in a city like Manhattan at bus stops, on subway trains, on billboards, and any other available space.

Next stop . . .

No better space in NYC than a subway train with a captive audience.

Look up . . .

Midtown provides a great space for getting any message across.
